Text Chat

i‑net CoWork offers a simple text chat for individual and group chats with file upload, emojis, reactions and history search. Messages can be formatted, replied to and targeted with mentions. Everything is organized in teams and channels - public or private.

Voice and Video Chat

Voice and video calls with screen sharing are always available in i‑net CoWork. This includes muting, camera on/off and selecting audio sources. The video quality automatically adapts to the bandwidth, while functions such as "raise hand" and reactions ensure active participation.

Data Security

i‑net CoWork focuses on data protection and security: As a self-hosted solution, you keep your data safe. You retain full control and comply with the GDPR. All data is transmitted encrypted via HTTPS. Voice and video calls run via secure WebRTC technology. Optional features include Two-factor authentication and DDoS protection which provide additional security.

  • Does every user have to install an application on their PC? No, i‑net CoWork only needs to be installed on a server. Using the latest browser, any user can join without additional installation. Also: there is no user limitation.
  • Why is there no button for calls in channels? Calls (voice, video, screen sharing) only work if the server is accessed through a valid HTTPS connection. Furthermore, make sure that the plugin “CoWork Calls” is installed and activated in the Store.
  • Are there any restrictions on the number of participants in a video conference? The number of participants is not determined by a fixed limit, but by the performance of the central server and the individual download bandwidth of the users. i‑net CoWork relies on a central SFU architecture that enables efficient transmission of video and audio. If one participant has a poor connection, the quality of the transmission is automatically adjusted to ensure stable communication for everyone.
  • Can I test i‑net CoWork extensively before purchasing a license? Yes! During the initial setup after installing i‑net CoWork, a trial license is created by our license server. This has a validity of 90 days and provides enough time to extensively test all functions, even in larger organizations.
  • Do I need another license if I have already licensed another i‑net software product? If you have another i‑net software product with a valid license, you can install the text chat feature of i‑net CoWork from the Store and use it at no additional cost. Only additional features, such as voice and video chat, require an additional i‑net CoWork feature license.
  • Who can I contact if I have a problem with installation, setup, or other questions about i-net CoWork? Our professional support staff is available to help with any questions or issues related to the product. Feedback is also welcome and helps us to continue to develop i‑net CoWork.
